Power Tanks No Air Loss Shock Chuck

 

The Power Tank Shock Chuck is an innovative device designed for

  • high-pressure
  • critical-pressure applications, with a maximum working pressure of 1000 PSI and a 1/8-inch FPT (female pipe thread) connection.

This no-air-loss chuck, also known as NAL Chuck features

 

  • knurled thumb nuts on the top and bottom allowing easy and secure attachment to the Schrader valve stem on your shocks.
  • The copper washer has been replaced with a synthetic material that lowers the torque specs required to achieve an airtight seal on the valve.
  • The bottom nut also features wrench flats in case you need extra torque to ensure a secure connection.

 

One of the most frustrating and time-consuming tasks when tuning shocks is attaching and detaching the Nitrogen Shock Inflator to and from the Schrader valve stem.

Traditional shock tools use zero-loss air chucks borrowed from the aviation industry, which require a wrench to use,

-this makes it difficult or impossible to access the Schrader valves on your shocks while they’re on your vehicle.

 

The Power Tank Shock Chuck solves this problem by allowing you

  • to attach and detach the inflator easily and quickly, without any nitrogen loss.
  • The two knurled thumb nuts attach to the valve stem and depress the valve core pin in separate actions.
  • This enables you to close the shock under pressure, ensuring no nitrogen is lost when removing the Shock Chuck.
  • In addition, the Power Tank Shock Chuck is rebuildable, making it a long-lasting and cost-effective investment for your shock tuning needs.

 

If you have a hard-to-reach or recessed Schrader valve, you can add a Schrader Valve Extension to make it easier to access.

For IFP (Internal Floating Piston) shocks that require filling with a needle, you will need a Shock Fill Needle Assembly, such as SIG-5000, which works well with all of our shock inflators.

 

The Power Tank Shock Chuck is the same chuck used by Fox Racing Shocks to tune Ultra4 Cars and Trophy Trucks for the King of the Hammers and Baja 1000 Off-Road Races.

It’s also the chuck we use on our Shock Boss Shock Inflators (SIG-5600 and SIG-0500).
